When I bought the remains of a store, Main Electronics that was a major TV parts supplier here in Canada, included were some DeVry Institute stuff, A model 34 scope and a TVTM along with various test materials - some of which I have just scanned and uploaded to the FTP site. One of these is large (29mb) as I had to redact the student's name and address for privacy reasons and I didn't get around to compressing it. Using Fluke 9010 with ethernet / Wi-Fi (solution)

I have seen a few ways of doing this in the past and wanted to share the one I have been using for less than $20. I connected a HLK-RM04 serial -> Ethernet / Wi-Fi module to the fluke. Then configured it for a fixed address on ethernet. Then I run HW Virtual Serial Port software to route the com port on my desktop machine (running FIDE) to the address of the RM04. For this I use the HW VSP3 Single software. Works a treat, bi directional and over wired and wireless no dropouts or errors. Sencore VA48 schematic sheets (finally!)

I found I actually had an original VA48 manual hiding in one of my filing cabinets and so I just scanned the 3 large double sided schematic sheets for archive purposes and uploaded them to the FTP site under Sencore/VA48/... Xeltek Universal Programmer Superpro interface?

Have one of these that has been on the shelf for years never figured out how to hook it up. Has a DB 25 connector on the side of it but I don't know if that is a dedicated card cable interface (IE Needhams PB10) or a parallel cable interface. Anyone know? I have an XP box which I should be able to run it on. part sourcing help - edge connectors, hook leads

Anyone have a good source for edge connectors of various sizes? I don't know what to call what I'm looking for, so it makes it hard to search for. Trying to build up my test area environment. I have a good JAMMA set up, but I'd like to expand to test non-JAMMA (and build some of the more common PCB adapters to JAMMA). I'm looking for connectors that on one side is the female side, i.e., a flat male side edge connector would plug into it. On the other side of the connector would be two rows of pins. I looked at a couple of ones that I have and while I have the female side, the two rows of pins aren't the pins I'm looking for. They just have a pin. I'd like to get pins that are flat and have a small hole in them so I can easily use hook leads. I'd also like to get an assortment of different sizes (number of pins). I hope this made sense and maybe someone can tell me the correct/proper names for these so I can search myself. And while I'm at it, anyone have a source for decent priced hook leads? The one's I've found are ridiculously expensive. $9.95 (plus shipping & tax) for a one foot piece of wire with a cheap hook on each end. Yikes. I guess I'm not very good at searching. Hi, Can someone direct me to a working unserialized version of 6.1 ? So far, I tried these three image sets and used Samdisk 3.8.11 to copy them on a floppy. Well it finally happened, my old WinXp machine passed away. I used it for my 9010a and older eprom burners. Do you guys still build old Dos boxes to run this hardware that needs old DB9 DB25 serial i/o etc. Or are you building some fancy new systems? Fluke 9100A - Cannot boot from system disks

Hi, I am trying to setup a 9100A unit. The initial hard disk was defective. I had a "missing hard drive" error message. I've upgrade the roms to the V5 version and setup a SCSI2SD drive. I was able to format the disk with service disk 1.4 Whenever I try to boot from the system disks (tried original disks 4.1, images from 6.0 and 6.1), I get an error: Error 243 loading /dd/rom/appl I can skip it but then then I get more errors: root: appl missing root: Can't start application Path Name not found And the unit freezes at Initializing system. Error 243 is a CRC error based on the documentation. The floppy drive seems fine since I can load service disk 1.4. I thought that I did not restore the images properly but since I also get the error with original 4.1 disks, I am not sure what I can try next. Did anyone have had a similar problem ?
