Fluke 9110FT SPECTRUM-TX diskettes imaged

Hi all! I bought a Fluke 9110FT setup and with that setup came the SPECTRUM-TX diskettes which I now have imaged and uploaded to the "/TTL/Test_Equipment/Fluke/9100 Series" folder on John's FTP site. Inside the ZIP archive is a ReadMe with more details about the images etc. I haven't tested the images myself but I think they should probably work as the original diskettes was error free. ADDR ERROR @ XXXXh - LOOP?

And here is a new one for me, don't recall seeing that error message before, nor can I find reference to it in the 9010A Operator Manual. Pressing the MORE key gives me "ADDR BITS 0100 - LOOP?" so I assumed this was some sort of a decode issue and will proceed accordingly. Just thought I would post it here in case anyone else runs across this rare error message which I assume was added to the 3A ROMs in the 9010, but not to the manual - at least the copy I have... (later) It was indeed a problem with some address lines. For only A7 and A8 when loop reading @ 0000 (easiest - all should be Low) with the 9010 probe (set to Address) the Low light was flickering, not steady Low. Turned out to be a 74LS367 that had two inputs that were somehow pulling the lines slightly high. This did not show up when doing a ROM or BUSS test - only in either of the RAM tests. I chatted with the seller and he confirms that it does NOT power up. So chances are the battery backed up system ROM has failed. Item 390623172259 He reduced the price on his own from the original asking $59.95 to $19.95. Pity. I was hoping to find a good one to extract the program from to save mine... If someone here buys it and CAN extract the ROM data I'd sure like a copy! Fluke FIDE 4.1.9 Run-time error'68'

I've been using the 9010A only with the keyboard, however I am now finding that I have to run some scripts for servicing some old game boards - Pole Position 2 by Namco. By and large I can type the stuff in, but I wanted to use FIDE to both edit the code and upload it to my unit either via the USB mod or the Wi-Fi mod (back in 2015/2016 we talked about these). Is anyone else using Quarterarcade's FIDE? I have a regular occurrence of the run-time error 68. It is Windows based: 68 Device unavailable A hardware device or necessary requirement for the program is not being found. Verify all hardware and software required by the program is installed. If you continue to have the same issues verify the latest updates are installed for the program as well as any hardware device the program needs. Anyone else found a solution or a cause for this? Perhaps FIDE just isn't happy running over a network...or does it needs longer timeouts? For the Fluke Z8000 Pod - making interface PCB for Z8002 CPU

I have a Z8000 pod and am in the process of making a PCB for the Z8001 test socket on it so I can test Z8002 (Pole Position of course) logic. The PCB is to adapt the Z8002 CPU to the Z8001 test socket. I will likely be making two or three of these (minimum quantity) so if anyone is interested in one for their Z8000 pod please let me know - @ cost plus postage. The listing said it had the software to run it, which might also work for the 560 (non-A). That’s something I’d like to see saved, since there are no known copies of it. 3870 adapter pod for use with 6800 pod

I can't believe it - I have had these files (Thanks to Shy!) since 2013 and only now realized I never put them up on TTL. This package from Shy (Navatek) has schematics (unknown format) pictures of the board layout and wiring, PALtoGAL 16V8 code and more... Used HP 547A to find a pin to trace short

Have had this item for years and finally figured out what it is good for. Repair Log: Shadow Dancer Sega System 18 PCB Problem 1: Bad sprites in player and other screen objects Reseated Rom board: No change Checked all roms: Matched mame Probed around with logic probe and didn't see anything odd. Saw a clutch hitter on ebay for cheap so picked it up to do some comparisons with as I didn't have any System 18 in my stocks. Tried rom board on CH board. No sprite problems. Went back to original board and still had corruption. Started looking at the board closer, and found a nick in the traces. jumped 4 traces with Kynar wire. Problem solved Problem 2: No sound No sounds at all, but the CPU seemed to be running. Sounds fine if putting the rom board on the CH main. Verified the CPU to be good and the Sound PAL was also good. Started probing around the 74LS244 & 245 and found pin 5 on IC276 ('244) was looking bad. Grabbed my HP Logic comparator and clipped it on. Hit test and Pin 5 bad. As there are no schematics for the System 18 I did some continuity checking to try to figure out where that pin goes, found it goes to pin 2 on the sound PAL. And up to the interconnect for the Rom board. But due to a slipped probe I noticed something else. I was also getting continuity at GND (about 175ohm). And at the +5 rail (3 ohms). Bad 244, shorted internally so I clipped pin 5 and checked continuity again for GND and +5. Same thing. BUGGER. With the trace damage I had seen I thought there was probably a pin touching a trace somewhere. But after more than an hour with a tiny screwdriver and a magnifier I wasn't any better. Did some YouTube research on tracking down shorts. Really didn't like the idea of dropping a few amps down the +5 rail grounded through the pal pin to try and find something warm. I don't have a milliohm meter and they run a couple hundred $. I do have an ESR meter which is a small resistance meter but it wasn't high enough resolution to find it by probing around the board. Found a video on the HP 547A current tracer and using it to track down shorts: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Verow5aGL0w I just so happen to have one of these I bought off ebay years ago thinking it might be useful in tracking down vector board problems. But I have never taken it out of the box to date. Ran my logic pulsar output into the +5 rail with the ground of it tied to the sound pal pin 2. Then I was able to adjust the light on the 547A to just showing when touching that pin. Started tracing around the board and picked up the signal near the connector to the rom board. Ran along that area until I found a trace it was running up and followed it a couple inches then BOOM no more signal. There was a chip pin leg right the spot it vanished. Used my little screw driver to lift the pin and no more signal on the trace I was following and nothing at the pal pin 2. Put the rom board back on and sound fixed.
