Looking at the manual for the Z80QT pod and the schematic I think I am getting an expected result. I hooked up the pod and hit BUS to run the bus test. I immediately get back CTL ERR showing 00000010 this is the HALT line. Looking at the schematic it appears HALT and INT are both tied together and pulled high. So the fluke can't exercise that line. Any way to ignore that error and verify the rest of the bus test? Oh and according the manual maximum clock frequency is 8.0 mhz. Does that mean this pod support Z80A/B/C ? Fluke 9000A mystery adapter (for me at least ;-)

I have a pod module here called "Z8 I/F ADAPTER" Fluke #9000-200/AB. It has no cable to the base, just a 40 pin CPU cable. Inside is a couple of RAM chips, and some Fluke hybrid interface ICs. Any guesses? John :-#)#

Data I/O 29B on Windows 7?

I think this was asked before and I didn't have Windows 7 at the time so I didn't follow it, so I apologize, but I need to ask again. Has anyone successfully got a Data I/O 29B to work on a Windows 7 machine? If so, any tips or tricks you can share that you had to do to get it to work? Speeding up the 9100...

A few people have noted how much slower the 9100 is than the 9100FT, so it got me to wondering what might be done to improve things. First of all the 68010 CPU is pin for pin compatible upgrade and apparently Atari ST and Amiga folks used to replace the 68000 with the slightly faster 68010 (around 10% improvement or more - some code restrictions that may or may not matter). Second, the 68000 had clock speeds up to 16.67 (the 9100 uses 8mHz) so I'm curious if a little bit of wiring mods might get a gain there. Mostly I'm throwing these ideas out there in the hope that someone will dig further and may actually have some results, I'm a bit busy right now with business stuff... Discussion? Until I can find a replacement for my dead hard drive it's all moot right now. But I have wondered the same things.
