Fluke 9000A mystery adapter (for me at least ;-)

I have a pod module here called "Z8 I/F ADAPTER" Fluke #9000-200/AB. It has no cable to the base, just a 40 pin CPU cable. Inside is a couple of RAM chips, and some Fluke hybrid interface ICs. Any guesses? John :-#)#

Hey, that would be my cue :) All of the M72, M82, M84 games from Irem use a NEC V20 which is a 8086 with some extra instructions. It's also pin compatible so the 8086 pod is usable with it. Does anyone know if the scripts for the 9010 work on a 9100a?? It may also be of interest to know that someone (presumably Al Kossow) has scanned and pdf'ed a lot of the fluke manuals and uploaded them to www.spies.com/arcade. There's a fluke directory which has some 9010 scripts and the .exe to compile them, and in the TE directory there are manuals for the 9010,9100 and most of the POD's. (I presume Al wrote the scripts) Unfortunately, the user manual for the 9100 isn't there. Sigh... DIP IC Remover

I just got (from ebay) a rather interesting looking DIP IC remover. It has a pistol grip with an attachment that you put over the IC to remove, then press the button, wait a few secs, and then press harder and the IC is removed. it was NOS and is now powered up (probably for the first time in it's life!) but, looking at the manual it came with, they used to sell other head units for 18 and 24 pin IC's it's made by the solder removal co. of california, and is called a remov-ic anyone heard of them, or got some head attachments sitting around looking for a new home. meanwhile, I'm off to get a gash board to have a practice with it! _______________________________________________ Techtoolslist mailing list Techtoolslist(a)flippers.com http://seven.pairlist.net/mailman/listinfo/techtoolslist

2708 help - Data sheet, programming specs, other...

I own/use an EETools Top Max EPROM programmer. It's pretty versatile, however it does not do 2508's or 2708's. I contacted their support and they appear to be fairly customer responsive. They told me that they would update/modify their software to support any device that the hardware is physically able to do. I would like to take them up on their offer. However I am having difficulties meeting their requirements of supporting a currently unsupported chip type, which is: I submit 2 of each chip type requested I submit either documentation or web link, etc., of the data sheet and the programming specifications of the chip types requested. For those of you unfamiliar with the Top Max, they have went the route of making it a manufacturer priority based device. That means they don't just list 2732's, 2764's, etc.. They list the manufacturer first, and then the exact specific chip number/type from that manufacturer. What that also means on a new chip support request, is that the manufacturer of chips submitted must be the same as the documentation provided. Now for the help request: Can any of you identify the manufacturer of this particular 2708: http://www.joesarcade.com/joem/2708/ As I look at the pics again, on the front pic, could that be an "S" to the left of the 7812, which would stand for Signetics (now Phillips)? If I can figure out the manufacturer, I can pester them for the data sheet and programming specs. Even if they are long time non-supported, I've found if you bother a company enough, they will usually eventually hand you off to some old timer there that can dig up the info. But, if any of you might have those documents on hand, and can scan and post or email, that would be great.
