WICO XY Pattern Generator

Hi all.. Has anyone frigged with the eproms that are in the wico xy pattern generator unit? Its cool and all, ijust received one, but it would be even better if it had a diagonal crosshatch pattern.. or am I just expecting too much? I see it only uses DAC08's, are they up to the task of a diagonal crosshatch? As title. Going here: http://seven.pairlist.net/pipermail/techtoolslist/ Tells me that no messages have been posted to this list yet, which i know to be far from the truth. I have a bunch of MCR2 boards in to fix and i want to refresh my memory as to why my 9010a can't run them. I know it's been covered before because for starters, I'm sure i raised it, well over a year ago. And I'm pretty sure someone else did more recently too. I changed PCs a while ago though so don't have a personal archive. I've fixed one set, but don't really want to do them all without the fluke unless i really, really have to! Any help appreciated! 9100a floppy replaced

Managed to get it working well enough that I can load software. Details at http://iobium.com/9100a%20tester/9100atester.htm I used a TEAC FD235HG drive, $12 at Fry's. Some soldering on the opened drive required. I may also have to mod the 9100a to sort out a disk change problem. Next step, get Teledisk working. Floppy disk drive

OK, so I am new to this. I have a 9100a with what appears to be a bad floppy and a temperamental hard drive. So I can probably use it for as long as the HDD lasts, but I would like to make some insurance and to do that I have to start by getting a floppy running. First try, stuff a modern drive on and see what happens. Nothing useful, of course - the thing uses what appears to be a custom drive. I check the pinout. Most of it is OK; here are the problem pins: Pin 2 Density select Listed as spare, but could be set by the 9100a Pin 4 Reserved Change 2 detect Pin 10 Motor enable A DS0 Pin 14 DRV SEL A CHNG1 Pin 34 Disk change READY input on FDD controller Given that I am only interested in Drive A, here is what I am thinking: Pin 2 Cut and (ground or float) on floppy side to ensure always double density Pin 4 Ignore or cut Pin 14 Cut and connect to pin 10 on floppy side Pin 34 looks OK; disk change goes with the disk loaded or not. Maybe jumper to 14 on the controller side. May, however, have a logic level problem. My thinking is that maybe I can get the 9100a to accept an HD floppy, but using its cranky format. Fluke 9010A and old Atari Night Driver board

I'm trying to get a Fluke 9010A with 6502 pod to work with an old Atari 'Night Driver' board (circa 1976, black & white). Trouble is that I'm getting the good old 'UUT Power Fail' on the Fluke. The Fluke and pod are fine with other (later) boards so I'm guessing that, once again, it's a clocking related problem. Night Driver uses 2 x 330 ohm resistors with the 12 MHz crystal and the board works (but with video problems) using a 6502 CPU instead of the Fluke. Just as an experiment I tried using 150 ohm resistors with the crystal instead of the 330's but no dice I'm afraid. Have also tried varying the voltage but to no avail. Any ideas please folks?
