FS: Fluke 9100A-3051 diagnostic card for Fluke 9100A

$100 + postage, or trades. If I'm interpreting this (https://www.ebay.com/itm/185133456934) correctly someone paid $250 for one which - to me - seems certifiable. The card plugs into an expansion slot on the 9100A and you debug the broken 9100A using a 9000a-68000 pod + working 9100 (or I guess 9010). N.B the 9100FT uses a different method (there is a 9132A/Jane sync pod connector on the FT motherboard) and you use a 9132 with a 68030 personality module to debug. Fluke 9100 system EEPROM disambiguation

hi all. There's a 32-byte soldered-in I2C serial EEPROM (type X2444) that contains crucial hardware setup information use in the Fluke 9100 series systems. The values in this eeprom hold information pertaining to some calibrations as well as all basic I/O hardware. This information can all be set/changed with the use of floppy service disks in a working system. If you happen to set the wrong floppy drive type in this menu, you can lock yourself out of being able to adjust anything, as well has having a non-working floppy drive. You can re-program the chip in-circuit (in theory, but i didn't try it) or you can de-solder it, and dump the contents/reprogram it. The 32 bytes might be a little cryptic, but with trial an error i have found out the following address map. Fluke 9010a ROM Signatures using CalcSignature.exe

Hi Team: I am trying to sort through my 9010a System ROM versions using the signature tool located @: http://tech.quarterarcade.com/tech/Fluke/9010A/CalculateSignature.aspx I am looking for the Fluke Signatures for Versions 2B, 2C and 3A ROMS. Specifically Version 3A If anyone has burned and/or tested version 2B, 2C and 3A ROMs in their 9010a and you have the raw binary files for the ROMs, I would appreciate what the above CalcSignature tool generates for your known-good ROMs. I am in need to burn some ROMs and a sanity check would be helpful. Fluke 9010 and Gorf / Wizard of War etc.

Working on a stack of these boards. There is no watch dog disable but it is an easy enough thing to do by removing Q10 (the WD then can't toggle reset). With the Fluke connected I can run UUT and game will run fine I can test the Video Dram from 0x4000-0x7FFF no problem. I can test the cpu SRam from 0xD080-0xDFFF no problem. The cpu SRam from 0xD000-0xD07F though give a data error when trying to write to it. >From the mame memory map it shows that ram 0xD000-0xD03F is protected_ram (I think this is a typo because it is blocked for me to 7F). Looking though the tech tools list history I saw mention from Kev in 2004 that there is a section of the ram that has a latch attached to reset. I think that is the protected ram mentioned in the memory map. The map also says address 0xA55B controls the protection. Looking at the gorf schematic page 63 (the rom/ram board) I can see the latch Kev mentioned. U9:11 (74LS74) controls the chip select for X21 / X22. And this is tied to reset so would clear if the WD were to kick (but I have disabled it) This is in turn fed by U10:9 (74LS133) which takes in a bunch of address / control lines and's them and inverts. So if anything isn't set it will output false. One of those intputs (pin 4) is from U16:13 a MC14078 (8 input NOR). Ensuring that a bunch of other things are not set which gives us a enable latch of A55B. Problem I am having is one of the inputs to U16 is pin 5 which it IORQ!. When I try to write to A55B with fluke to latch that the memory protect, IORQ! Is always high. So U16:13 is low, which make U10 fail the and. I verified IORQ! Is working (I can run the UUT) and see it toggle. Reading the spec's on the Z80 control signals I think that should be pulled low whenever the CPU is doing a write. But it's not when doing so from the fluke. I could jumper U10:4 to ground in some manner but would rather understand what is happening. Ideas? Thanks William, yes i think the reason the 9100FT does not boot from the existing hard disk could be because of a disk IO issue, i also find it strange that until I don’t remove the MIF/ SCSI card the system does not boot up. I am unable to boot the system with F2,F4 and soft key with the SCSI card connected to the system. When I remove the SCSI card, and initiate a boot using F2,F4 and soft key i am able to access service disk, and under normal startup the system ask me to insert system disk, once all is loaded the system hangs. Thanks Tony, I did enable reporting of IO errors but observed no change or errors reported, I am not sure what to expect. I did the following: Remove SCSI card Boot service floopy ,enable IO reporting Boot from the 3 system floppies No it does not boot into normal operation instead hangs with no access to the keys I am looking into the SCSI2SD option, but not quite sure as to why the system hangs and the system being unable to progress with SCSI card in, only to display : real time clock not initialized.
