Not in a HUGE hurry, but I'd really like to use it to diagnose my Quantum board. I haven't looked at it yet, but I'm guessing I can probably get by with just the Signature Analyzer notes on spies? Or are there some features that are worth my while learning about on the 5006A that will make life much easier? (read: how bad do I really need the manual?). As far as scanning it in goes, I'd be willing to do that if you sent me a copy :) We have a sheet feeder on the scanner at work, so it wouldn't take much effort. I've got the full manual for it, I can make copies, but I really should scan it in as a .pdf and send it to Al. Is there a way for me to make a suitable bench power supply for working on game boards? I'm not overly convinced that $300-$1,500 on a PS is absolutely necessary since the parts alone can't be more than $15 (that US money John ;) I mean, just looking at the linear power supply boards in my games doesn't reveal complicated parts or anything that looks like it would require a high tolerance. Or am I too cheap? tm

Hello Everyone, I have several Z80 pods for the Fluke 9010. I am looking to trade them for a 6502 or a 6809 pod. I also have an 8086 pod if anyone is interested. I am currently looking for trades only, but may consider selling them if no trades materialize. 6502 pods...

I wonder what it would take to modify a Z80 or 8048 pod to 6502 or 6802 or? If it was doable, then perhaps a use for some of my spare pods could be found. Probably too much work, but the parts in the 8048 should be good for doing the interface parts...seeing as how desperate some people are for these rarer pods it might be worth making boards...anyone interested in taking on the project? New trick for ESR meter kit!

I have just discovered a way to use the ESR kit we sell (sorry about this almost ad) and a regular ohm-meter to test for DC Resistance at the same time as the ESR. It is too simple. Just tie the leads together and view both meters at the same time! They do not interfere with each other! I figured this out while testing shorted Tanatlum caps in a power supply... So now you have the best of both tools. I think I'll whip up some pre-made leads for this operation... Can anyone figure out other joint tools like this? Say a voltmeter with a scope (loading problems?)
