One thing i like about the checksum for the ROMs is that you can get a checksum for a block of ROM. So you can do one check to see if the entire ROM set is good or not. Albeit, if the checksum is wrong you will need to go through each ROM individually, but if the ROM's are good then you only have the one check as opposed to many. I have the 9100A system also, with most of the options (probe, timing module, Z80, 6502, 6809 PODs and the I/O modules and clips). I've only recently gotten into programming this system. For the basic tests through the POD, it's not that difficult to program, but there are some functions that I would like to implement that I have not been able to make work. In particular, communication with the I/O module seems to be difficult (or I'm just missing something). Jeff was kind enough to loan me the programming manuals for this system which I need to finish scanning and put them up on Spies.
