Yes the Dallas chip is on the SCSI card. I tried an external battery hack as well as a replacement / equivalent -Dallas 12887, the message : real time clock not initialized is the same in both cases, and I am unable to manually reset or enter information. I am unable to access the hard drive, and therefore unable to boot. On the first quarter of 2018 Ian Eure, encountered an RTC issue TECHTOOL list :DS1287 repair Tony i recall you had also mentioned and shared a post on an RTC issue…I can’t seem to find it any more. None of these posts may have captured my issue in entirety. With regards to the NVRAM issue: I wanted to enquire whether the NVRAM U36 and U26 EPROM are up to date? I have version 1 in both cases and so I shared Information on the same in my previous post. I would also inquire if the is a relation to the problem I am facing. As always I appreciate any support. -- Regards, Kevit Desai Tel: Mobile: +254 722 517067 _______________________________________________ Techtoolslist mailing list Techtoolslist@flippers.com https://pairlist7.pair.net/mailman/listinfo/techtoolslist FTP site is: ftp://ttl.arcadetech.org/TTL/Test_Equipment Archive site: http://seven.pairlist.net/pipermail/techtoolslist/

I just want to be clear what is happening. Before you changed anything you were getting an RTC failure message but the system continued to boot normally. Correct? Since you made the above changes the system now hangs after displaying the RTC message? The same happens if you try to force a floppy boot using F2 F4? I have no personal experience with the NVRAM. _______________________________________________ Techtoolslist mailing list Techtoolslist@flippers.com https://pairlist7.pair.net/mailman/listinfo/techtoolslist FTP site is: ftp://ttl.arcadetech.org/TTL/Test_Equipment Archive site: http://seven.pairlist.net/pipermail/techtoolslist/

If the above is correct I would try booting the floppy service disc with the SCSI card removed. Also when referencing old posts please post the actual URL of the post from the archives, right click on the specific message, select "copy link" and paste this.
