The RTC battery failed on my 9100FT, upon replacement , i get the following error: real time clock not initialized. I am unable to access keys or the disk and floppy drive. I am aware that such problems have been posted in the past. I would very much appreciate to know how to recover the boot process. And the steps to taken.. many thanks, and I look forward to hearing from you and being part of the community. -- Regards, Kevit Desai Tel: Mobile: +254 722 517067 _______________________________________________ Techtoolslist mailing list Techtoolslist@flippers.com https://pairlist7.pair.net/mailman/listinfo/techtoolslist FTP site is: ftp://ttl.arcadetech.org/TTL/Test_Equipment Archive site: http://seven.pairlist.net/pipermail/techtoolslist/

Did you perform the external battery hack or use a replacement RTC? My experience of the later is that many are fakes. Anyways, the "not initialized" message is normal. Until you manually reset the time/date. I am unable to access keys or the disk and floppy drive. I am aware that

This is not. I've fixed multiple dead RTC and never had this happen. I have heard of people being unable to boot from floppy after (incorrectly) changing the floppy type using the service disk (the solution to which is to write the service image onto a hard drive and boot that) but from what you say above you are unable to access even the hard drive? As I said I can't recall someone reporting this but I could be wrong, can you provide the URL of past reports ( http://seven.pairlist.net/pipermail/techtoolslist/) that you feel are similar? An RTC problem was reported on the 1st quarter and 3rd quarter of 2018. I assume that I could have an additional problem, since I am unable to go forward and simply input time and date, and restore the boot process. The current version on the EPROM is ver 1 And U36 is also version 1 Any help would be greatly appreciated Kevit On Tue, 15 Mar 2022 at 20:42, Kevit Desai <kevitdesai@gmail.com> wrote:

The (Dallas) RTC is on the SCSI card. You seem to be referring to the nvram at U36? I'm also not seeing the issue you're reporting in the above two time ranges of the archive. You also didn't answer questions previously asked _______________________________________________ Techtoolslist mailing list Techtoolslist@flippers.com https://pairlist7.pair.net/mailman/listinfo/techtoolslist FTP site is: ftp://ttl.arcadetech.org/TTL/Test_Equipment Archive site: http://seven.pairlist.net/pipermail/techtoolslist/
