Yes the Dallas chip is on the SCSI card. I tried an external battery hack as well as a replacement / equivalent -Dallas 12887, the message : real time clock not initialized is the same in both cases, and I am unable to manually reset or enter information. I am unable to access the hard drive, and therefore unable to boot.
I just want to be clear what is happening. Before you changed anything you were getting an RTC failure message but the system continued to boot normally. Correct? Since you made the above changes the system now hangs after displaying the RTC message? The same happens if you try to force a floppy boot using F2 F4? I have no personal experience with the NVRAM. _______________________________________________ Techtoolslist mailing list Techtoolslist@flippers.com https://pairlist7.pair.net/mailman/listinfo/techtoolslist FTP site is: ftp://ttl.arcadetech.org/TTL/Test_Equipment Archive site: http://seven.pairlist.net/pipermail/techtoolslist/
