Fluke 9010A - RS-232 & USB interface!!
FINALLY - something many of us have been thinking about for many years has come to pass. A Fluke owner in Italy has designed a nice little PCB for the 9010 that will give USB and RS-232 I/O communication capabilities! http://www.ukvac.com/forum/fs-fluke-9010a-option-1_topic339624.html His name is Piero Andreini and I suspect he is going to get a few emails on this. His email is pieroandreini(at)vodafone(dot)it Nice guy! He is looking for the usual pods by the way - 6800, 6502, 68000, and 6809. Someone needs to make these... This concept could easily be ported to the 9100 I suspect...is Ethernet next? Hello John, here's the receipt. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/34851970/Jukes.jpeg I sent you two pcb, one is free. When you will receive them you can pay by Paypal 28,00 Eur (20+8) to pieroandreini@vodafone.it Thanks a lot, Piero
Further to this, here is a module that converts Rs-232 to Ethernet and vice-versa...worth looking into for the 9010 and 9100? Hope someone follows this up... http://www.tcp232.net/tcp-ip-to-serial-module John :-#)# -- How to subscribe or unsubscribe from TTL http://seven.pairlist.net/mailman/listinfo/techtoolslist _______________________________________________ Techtoolslist mailing list Techtoolslist@flippers.com http://seven.pairlist.net/mailman/listinfo/techtoolslist FTP site is: ftp://ttl.arcadetech.org/TTL/Test_Equipment Archive site: http://seven.pairlist.net/pipermail/techtoolslist/
Hmm... I actually have some lantronics units.. Would need to see if they have a VCP Driver ( Virtual Comm Port ) , most of them time there used like Telnet Devices, but any Ethernet->Serial that supports VCP would work. -----Original Message----- From: Techtoolslist [mailto:techtoolslist-bounces@flippers.com] On Behalf Of John Robertson Sent: Monday, August 11, 2014 5:07 PM To: techtoolslist@flippers.com Subject: Re: [Techtoolslist] Fluke 9010A - RS-232 & USB interface!! I've been helping a friend setup a Pinball repair business in Ottawa, but he was reaching a crisis in which he was forced to swap-in known-good MPUs for bad ones, with the "bad" pile starting to get out of hand, since his technician was struggling to repair them. But then I thought about my 9010A setup. After many years just gathering dust in my basement, I finally got off my butt and got my 9010a with 6800 pod setup and used it to restore full functionality to a bunch of these dead Bally and Stern Pinball MPUs. I was most impressed with how the 9010a helped me isolate the problems with these boards! My friend would now like to extend this approach to Gottlieb and Williams pinball MPUs, but as I only have the 6800 pod, looked into getting more pods. I found that in the last few years, the supply of pods on ebay at least seems to have dried up. I am looking for 6502, 6802 and 6809 pods. Would anyone on the list be able to help me out by selling me any of these pods (obviously, working condition is _vastly_ preferred!). An aside: Is it possible to convert my 6800 pod to run with one of the other CPUs? I'm not familiar with the details, but vaguely recall that one can substitute CPUs on some pods. Please email me if you have one of these pods sitting idle, and would be willing to sell it. Thanks so much! grant.. _______________________________________________ Techtoolslist mailing list Techtoolslist@flippers.com https://pairlist7.pair.net/mailman/listinfo/techtoolslist FTP site is: ftp://ttl.arcadetech.org/TTL/Test_Equipment Archive site: http://seven.pairlist.net/pipermail/techtoolslist/

There are two versions of the 6800 pod. Jumpered and jumperless. The former is each to convert to 6502, the later harder (but still possible). There is a thread on doing it at the KLOV forum but IIRC the photo links no longer work. The info may be duplicated elsewhere but I'm not sure. _______________________________________________ Techtoolslist mailing list Techtoolslist@flippers.com https://pairlist7.pair.net/mailman/listinfo/techtoolslist FTP site is: ftp://ttl.arcadetech.org/TTL/Test_Equipment Archive site: http://seven.pairlist.net/pipermail/techtoolslist/

s/easy/each --- sorry for typo. _______________________________________________ Techtoolslist mailing list Techtoolslist@flippers.com https://pairlist7.pair.net/mailman/listinfo/techtoolslist FTP site is: ftp://ttl.arcadetech.org/TTL/Test_Equipment Archive site: http://seven.pairlist.net/pipermail/techtoolslist/
I have a full offline archive of the KLOV thread with the pictures, if anyone needs it. Maybe I should share it out on onedrive? Justin Rudebaugh Sent from my iPhone On Sep 29, 2016, at 8:32 AM, Tony Jones <tony@tonyjones.com> wrote:
