Which B&K adapter to use for Nintendo?
I just learned to use my B&K. Could someone confirm that adapter 23 is used on Nintendo Sanyo monitors? I don't have the current setup list from B&K. Thanks in advance! Noel
If you give me the model # of the tube I can tell you. Usually it's 23 or 24. Thanks Matt! Well the only sticker on the tube (which is out of a DK) is in Japanese, but it has these numbers on it: M2B178819 510UTB22 Hope this helps... Regards, Noel Matt Rossiter wrote:

510UTB22 is the tube number and yes it uses adapter 23. Heater voltage should be 6.3 Matt -----Original Message----- From: owner-techtoolslist@www.flippers.com [mailto:owner-techtoolslist@www.flippers.com]On Behalf Of Noel Johnson Sent: Thursday, July 25, 2002 2:03 PM To: TechToolsList@flippers.com Subject: Re: Which B&K adapter to use for Nintendo? Matt, While we're on the subject, one last favor to ask. Which adapter for a WG7000 series 19" monitor, please? Tube model is Philips MVR48ABK05X. It has a smaller neck than the typical 19" raster tube. Any help appreciated! Noel Matt Rossiter wrote:

I can't find a part number for this. Is there any other part number on this tube? Is anyone interested in having me scan this BK setup chart? There are about 60 pages. Matt, I've looked at several other of the small neck WG7000's. I found one marked A48ABK05X. Perhaps that will help. The actual monitor is a WG7901. I don't have a copy of the manual, but the tube (or acceptible substitutes) might be in there as well. I would love a copy of the setup chart!!! ;-) Thanks again, Noel Matt Rossiter wrote:

The A48ABK05X uses the adapter #31. When I get a chance, I'll scan this in. It helps if you have the BK universal adapter. I think it's about $60. Which B&K model do you have? I have made a simple adapter that I cut into the cable and straight wired the plug off an old tube onto. I have found that ALL our tubes (except the B&W) use the same plug if they are the large diameter. Thus with a small plug and a couple of permanent cables I can cover the tubes we are likely to run across. I use a jumper wire to connect the Red/Green/Blue cathodes to the B&W/Red wire for testing. These tubes all are in-line and all colours share the same G1 (& G2 is the same as well). John :-#)# At 03:33 PM 25/07/2002 -0500, Noel Johnson wrote:

I have the 467, which is almost identical to the 490, with three gauges (one for each color). According to an old setup chart, adapter 6 is used with the Electrohome G05 tube - Sylvania 19VARP4 A budy of mine tried it and says he burned out the guns of two tubes. We know his B&K is working well, as he's rejuvinated over 20 color tubes with fantastic results. Is adapter 6 the right one for the B&W vector tubes? Thanks, Noel John Robertson wrote:

Mine is much older, I can't advise you...the 465...only one gauge. Need to upgrade! John :-#(# At 04:28 PM 25/07/2002 -0500, Noel Johnson wrote:
