I just sold one - if it is possible to copy the tape and put it in PC readable format I can ask him to do so if that helps ..... -----Original Message----- From: Techtoolslist [mailto:techtoolslist-bounces@flippers.com] On Behalf Of Tony Jones Sent: Tuesday, June 19, 2018 7:04 PM To: John Robertson; Technical Tools Mail List; Matthew Rossiter Subject: Re: [Techtoolslist] Fluke 006 async tape data on ftp site + help getting self-test to pass Matt said:
Anyway - my Async tape has V1.0 on it . Not sure if 764977 is some sort of serial number or what. What does you tape say on it? DPY-COPYRIGHT <C> 1985 FLUKE REV 1.0
I'm assuming the DPY is contained in the code, not what's written on the tape. My tape has no version on the label. It does have the same 764977 part number. I took some pictures. I cut open the plastic bag and broke the seal on the tape box. It has never been read. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/14HKPgfOWiTisYI-jbmf7Mdj9UnJZcF07?usp =sharing I'm happy to loan it out to be read though as I said before, I'm still of the opinion that the instructions are what's wrong and the delay option was eliminated at some point. A non-preliminary copy of the operators manual would resolve this but I'm not sure if anyone has such a thing? On Tue, Jun 19, 2018 at 12:33 PM, Tony Jones <tony@tonyjones.com> wrote:
I think it's pretty unlikely that Matt's tape has been overwritten since the main script doesn't reference program 10 and there is no code that tries to DPY a prompt to enter the delay data. Matt's tape is supposedly part# 764977 COPYRIGHT <C> 1985 FLUKE REV 1.0". When I get back home today I'll check what version my tape is.

I should have at least one more Aysnc tape, but all my readers are dead...and I have no time to fix them! If someone has a known good tape drive and wants to try reading mine I can mail it (may have a couple actually) off.

I believe there is an issue with the Async tape because program 10 is coming up as "Not Found" which happens to be the Delay Setup program needed to do the clock module self test. See PDF page 66 (or workbook page 88) in this workbook

All 20 programs work fine for me except program 10. Does anyone happen to have another copy of the Async tape they can share? Hopefully I'm not the only one that has one. :|

I was hoping someone else had an idea :-)
