I just bought a Microchip PICStart Plus programmer and software. It it pretty nice. Microchip supplys (you can also just download it for free) a Assembly programming environment and a C environment as well. Plus, there is a simulator and a integrated debugger. If anyone on this list really wants to start getting involved with PIC projects, download the software etc, and check it out. I have been very impressed. www.microchip.com Also, there are companies that have shareware C++ compilers for it as well. Jeff Anderson wrote:
I'd also like to work on more PIC projects & maybe a cheaper Dragon's Lair translator card ($200 ouch!!).
no doubt.. I'll never know why they made it talk with Sony players either.. Theres 20 times more Pioneer players out there, and they cost less than Sony's. Besides I like the idea of DL running on an LD-V8000 :>
Personally I don't see much merit to the TF-650 or the PAT9000, I usually build JAMMA adapter cards for most of my bench repairs.
I felt the same way until I got one :> couldnt live without it now, the TF-650 is very handy for B/W games, and its cool that it has pinball test fixtures for it also..
heres my list:

B&K HV probe everybody needs one of these..
Fluke 87 meter
I'm going to sell some stuff this week, the 6803 tester, a catbox, maybe a pat, at least 1 KK and some cards, the DAS9100..
Im looking for a KK card # 309C I already have 2 309As. I'll trade 20 regular card sets for a 309C.
..If not a 309C then I'm interested in a cine exorcisor..
If anybody is interested in trading KK cards or Pat plugs drop me a line. I dont have a lot of PAT plug doubles but plenty of KK doubles.
Id be interested in a Midway universal tester.. I just want to see what its all about basically since its a "smart" tester unlike the PAT and KK. I already have some plugs for it but no ROMs..
