I have a Windows 7 64bit system and it was pretty easy to install and run the XPmode virtual system with the following easy instructions. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/install-and-use-windows-xp-mode-... Using a USB to serial adapter and a null modem I was able to run promlink to my Data I/O 29b Unipak and read/write eproms, save the data and have them verified with romident. Hi Joe,
I wrote up this forum post about getting the 29B working on Vista x64. This should cover Win7 x86/x64 too.

I think this was asked before and I didn't have Windows 7 at the time so I didn't follow it, so I apologize, but I need to ask again.
Has anyone successfully got a Data I/O 29B to work on a Windows 7 machine? If so, any tips or tricks you can share that you had to do to get it to work?
Joe
