On my 1084S, it's pot R225, "H-HOLD" and according to my DMM, it's 30K. I mounted a 25K pot (more than adequate) externally on the casing. Works well. I can't always get Tron to sync up, but I am also using boards that don't work 100%. Usually I can get close enough though.
I just ran a few lines through the plastic case and mounted it using a bracket and a small bit of prototyping board.

You didn't by chance see a similar pot labeled H-FREQ? I believe that's what it was labeled on the board itself.

I had this just happen with Tron (had to build a simple circuit to combine /H and /V sync too...).
I put everything back together and tested it with another JAMMA board (MKII) and it wouldn't sync. I'm thinking I'm just going to mount that pot on the case so that I don't have to keep pulling it apart. Anyone done that before? It's a tiny trim pot and I had this idea after I reassembled everything. Anyone know what the value of the pot is?
Otherwise using this monitor has been great.
