If anyone is interested in working on this project please drop me a e-mail. I'm looking to use a 16F84 or 16F877 pic & minimal hardware to build a bare bones translator that can be a Do It Yourself type project and then maybe expaneded to include other platforms & players. It will also be a good opportunity to learn PIC programing. I'm sure the reason for the Sony's is the availability in the coin op world thanks to American Laser Games. (that's were I got my players....) Kev
I'd also like to work on more PIC projects & maybe a cheaper Dragon's
Lair
translator card ($200 ouch!!).
no doubt.. I'll never know why they made it talk with Sony players either.. Theres 20 times more Pioneer players out there, and they cost less than Sony's. Besides I like the idea of DL running on an LD-V8000 :>
