That's a lot cheaper then what it costs me to run romident.coinopflorida.com ( $1200/year ) they need to come up with a list server where members pay to be a part of it, instead of the host trying to recoup costs from members. I would be happy to pay $5/year to keep this list going. William Stillwell On Thu, Sep 25, 2025 at 10:28 AM John Robertson via Techtoolslist < techtoolslist@flippers.com> wrote:

Yeah, after setting this up way back in Nov 1999 to have it killed off now (expiry Jan 1, 2026) is tiresome.
/Over time, the free PairList mailing list program (based on GNU Mailman) has become unreliable as most mail hosts now require strict email validation standards (SPF, DKIM, DMARC). PairList cannot support these features, causing messages to be delayed, marked as spam, or rejected. Because of this declining reliability, we believe the service no longer meets our standards and will be discontinued./
/PairList has served our users well for many years. While we are sad to retire it, we are exploring a more reliable replacement service for the future./
We are currently under Mailman 2.1.39
I'm not sure if I'd want to be under Googlegroups - they mine everything...the less I give them the happier I am.
We have 172 members, so groups.io would want $220USD/year.

Hi folks,
I just got a note from my hosts at Pair.com that they are dropping mailists and that I need to migrate TTL to another mail list service...
Anyone have any suggestions?
I could change to groups.io <http://groups.io> I suppose - I would still maintain the FTP directory on flippers FTP site.
Anyway, just posting this out there...
