Fluke 9100 and CDP1806 micro availability
Helllo, My name is Jeff and I am new to this list. I repair old industrial electronics. I have used a fluke 9010/9100 tester a little in the past. I just purchased one off of ebay a week or so ago. First, Does anybody know where I can find 1802 type micros and related chips ( CDP1806,CDP6823, CDP6853...). www.usbid.com has anything if you are willing to go broke buying it. In general, where do you go to look for old chips? I also have a couple of 9100 questions... How easy is it to find a SCSI interface for it? When I try to go into edit mode, I get a "keyboard not present" message when the keyboard IS there. Is this a common problem? Also...Does anyone have a 6908 pod they want to sell ? Thanks, Jeff
So I asked for wisdom on ROM signatures, if I should use Step 1 or Step 2 and I recieved supporting comments for both. (Some Fluke software defaults to Step 2 & some to Step 1 to make things more complicated). Well I finally saw a fault in the Step 2 method that is not caught. If A0 line is out of circuit you can get a "valid" Step 2 ROM Signature.
From now on my ROM signatures will be Step 1.

Does anyone have the Test ROMs for Dragon's Lair? I uncovered a test manual for the ROMs but not the ROMs. I'll scan the manual if anyone is interested in working on test scripts. Thanks, Kev
