Ah, that's handy. I have mine mounted inside, because I don't like modifying the case.
I'm very glad folks are finding the disk images and cracked service disk useful.

I have presented the SD card at the side of my 9100ft so I just imaged a spare SD with the service disk for when I need it.
Thanks for all you work on the software imaging Ian it's really handy. I transferred my missing pod libraries from the images you have made.

That's good to know. I wonder if you can set up the SCSI2SD so you can choose a partition to boot from. That would let you boot the service disk any time, or other versions of the OS.

I had not thought of copying the disk image to the SD card on a PC. Very creative! Glad I could help,-Chris

Thank you Chris this worked a treat! My process was to convert the cracked service disk from .imd to .raw using samdisk and the rename the .raw to .img. I then used win32 disk imager to write the image to an SD and swapped out the main 6.1 SD with this! Thanks again!

Steve, I did the exact same thing to myself a couple weeks ago. I was also in the process of installing a SCSI2SD adapter at the time so I formatted an SD card in another 9100 that I had and copied just the Service disk to the SD card. I then installed the SD card in the machine I set incorrectly and it booted to the Service disk from the SD card which allowed me to change the floppy setting. If you don't have an SD card, I'm sure you could do the same with a spare SCSI drive. From my tests with the HxC, I found that that the Sony and Teac settings seem to work fine. (I don't remember about the Mitsumi but I think that worked too.) I could not get either of the Canon's to work. I was planning on putting together some information and seeing if I could get some help from the HxC forum since the Canon seems to be the drive in most of the non-FT 9100's. Thanks,-Chris

Hey List I have just purchased a Hxc Floppy emulator and successfully ran the cracked service disk from it to upgrade the memory. There just one problem.. When you go through the automated process on the disk it asks you for the the type of floppy. Now mine has a Canon in it and as it's a Ft I chose Canon HD. Thiswould appear to be the wrong choice as I can no longer boot the service disk nor can I copy files from DR1 to HD1.
Has anyone else come across this and if so can you help me get things back on track?
Thanks! ______________________________ _________________ Techtoolslist mailing list Techtoolslist@flippers.com https://pairlist7.pair.net/ mailman/listinfo/techtoolslist FTP site is: ftp://ttl.arcadetech.org/TTL/ Test_Equipment Archive site: http://seven.pairlist.net/ pipermail/techtoolslist/
