My guess is that the voltage levels are slightly lower on the L-shaped boardsets. The voltage threshold that triggers the the UUT Power fail is probably too high such that even the subtle lower voltage between one boardset and another causes the fail to trigger. As Martin said, I just disabled the UUT test and it worked fine.

This has me puzzled - why should the Fluke work fine with one type of boardset, yet not the L-shaped set, even though said L-shaped sets work perfectly with an 8080 in the CPU socket?
