I take it you guys know about this place: http://tech.quarterarcade.com ?? You must do. It's the same place you will have got the FIDE software from if you got it from the place you were meant to have done :) I sent James over a DVD full of roms (naughty me!!) last year i think so he could calcuate all the rom checksums and stuff (apologies if that's not your correct name BTW). Go into the mame virtual machine section and once you've picked the one your after there's a link to click on that will create a 9010 script for you that you can cut and paste into fide. It's not always 100% accurate since it's based on mame vm's and so can include memory regions that are not directly accesible by the cpu but it's a damn good starter for the 10. While i normally use that site for the mame vm info (quicker and easier than bringing up the source each time), i have to confess to normally just tapping the tests into the 9010 by hand though since i find it quicker, so no idea if the scripts really work with fide or not. I presume they do just fine. Martin. On Fri, April 22, 2005 16:14, Adam Courchesne said:
I would start by locating a memory map for that board. What addresses address the RAN, ROM etc. Then you can use the fluke to capture ROM crc values and the you can start writing a simple script that will do RAM and ROM checks for you.

with a fluke 9010a and 1 known good board (sega out run)
what is the best way to record the good board in the fluke 9010a
i have the rs232 on the back and fide and risk
through the 68000 and use it as a script to run it on a bad board (Sega out run)
or does anyone already have a script done for this
any help would be great
