Hi! (Carrying this back to the mail list)...I can see a pretty simple design to test the speed of 5101's as a useful tool in our tool kits...other Static Ram as well. Perhaps an add-on for a standard RAM tester that a number of folks have? What RAM would people like to test? RAM test equipment that I have: SIMCHECK with the RamCheck option StarTek DT-90 Dram Tester (4164/41256) that has a dial for the speed test (kit -schematics on ftp site) E-Comms BUGTRAP Model 8000 that tests 4116, 2118, 4164, 41256, 41128, 411000, 4416, 4464, and 44256. Speed tests from 250ns down to 80ns. I am thinking of modifying the Bugtrap as it does test 4 bit DRAM to do the 5101's - but not sure how to do that at the moment. It's been a LONG time since I last looked at the design difference between Static and Dynamic RAM Addressing issues. Probably take me a couple of hours to glom a small PCB interface then never finish the thing once it works... John :-#)# At 11:04 AM 07/07/2003 -0300, pc2jamma wrote:
It's not so difficult to make one based on Microcontroller technology. I'll appreciate if you or someone else what to start to talk about it. I have the project in my mind, but I don't know how to program this devices.
