[Techtoolslist] 9010 ram pattern error?

Have a pole position board using z80qt pod. Doing an alpha memory long ram test. Getting a pattern error. "Data was FE not FF". How do I use this information to figure out what the part which is failing is? I have never been able to wrap my head around the pattern error.
