AFAIK, the XP patch should just add a delay in the timing at start up to cope with modern processors which, compared to when PromLink was conceived are now of "supercomputer" speeds :o) I think Mike Coates reads this list so he should be able to give you a more definitive answer though... Mike,
It says it can't communicate using COM port 2 and asks if I want to shut down Promlink or ignore. I've tried manually switching to another port, but I think the XP patch over-rides that.

Hi Mark,
What is happening when you try to fire up Promlink? I'm using the latest and have no problems under XP with a 3.2 GHz CPU. But, I only use it with 29B's and 288's.
Best,

Has anyone been able to get the latest version of Promlink to communicate with an XP system? I have Promlink 6.10 with the XP patch, but I can't get the 29A to communicate with the PC. I've read everything I can find on the topic (29A manual, Google, Promlink info) and I've run out of options. There seems to be a lot of info on the 29B but not the 29A.
