Hi Jose, it's a logic comparator, I guess you won it on Ebay some days ago.The 552 model you have is for CMOS testing while the 550 model is for TTL.I have both of these. The operation simply; put a good known IC in the ZIF socket, connect the clip to the IC on the unit under test, press the TEST button. If the OK led will light, then the IC is good otherwise some of the numbered LEDs will go ON telilng you there is a problem on that PIN (usually outputs). Please, keep in mind that this device is not perfect and it will give you false positive when, for example, output of an IC is tied to GROUND or VCC or when you are testing particular devices like flip-flop, counters, latches (you have to CLEAR these before testing).Obviously, your comparator need to take POWER and GROUND from the unit under test by connecting the RED and BLACK clips. Later I will scan the manual of my B&K 552 and send it to you. P.S. Did you find your Fluke 68000 POD at the end? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jose Luiz Martins" <joseluizmartins@gmail.com> To: "Technical Tools Mail List" <Techtoolslist@flippers.com> Sent: Saturday, June 08, 2013 3:40 AM Subject: [Techtoolslist] BK IC Tester 552
