Clock module pdf is on TTL ftp. ftp.flippers.com/TTL/Fluke/PDFs/9000A-006Async_SignatureProbeService.pdf John :-#)# At 07:27 PM 08/10/2003 -0700, Matthew Rossiter wrote:
It would be cool if you (or someone) could figure that out. I don't think you can use the clock module without the tape program.
Is there any documentation on using the clock module somewhere?

I'll have to pull that up and check it out. If I remember right though, that just says how to insert binary data but it does not tell you what you can do with the binary data. My interest is piqued, so I will take a look.

The binary code format is outlined in section 7 of the 9010A programming manual.

Is that how they come to you when you send them to your PC? It would be very interesting to know what that binary information is. I don't think it's a huge problem to reverse engineer and document the Fluke 9010A API. This would probably shed some light on how some custom commands are implemented. My suspicion is that it uses an undocumented "load z80 assembly" command.

What about the binary programs though? Look at programs 12 - 18 http://rossiters.com/games/fluke-async.txt

James is correct, you can transfer the programs that are loaded with a tape out the RS-232 port and store on a PC. The software is on the TTL ftp site ftp.flippers.com/TTL/Fluke . RKSIC.exe is one of them

For the program itself? I have not used the tape option myself, but I thought it was basically: (1) load the program(s) from tape, (2) transfer the programs loaded via RS-232 to computer. (I.e. RKSIC or FIDE).
Or is there other binary data that is on the tape?

Did anyone ever figure out how to transfer binary images such as those on tape for the clock module? I happen to have the tape with the binaries, the clock module and the Async. Sig. Option installed on my fluke 9010a. It would be nice to keep an archive in case my tape goes bad or something. I'll have to do a little research on that.
