I use this tool regularly in servicing CPU and TTL based logic. It will help find faults in ICs (90% confidence) up to 20 pins (74XX245, etc.).
Recommended for the techies tool kit! Switch settings are simple - you simply toggle in the Vcc and Com of the IC under test, all others face outside. Docs are up on FTP site under "Bugtrap".
