I have a pod, bought it 3-4 years ago, ran selftest on it when it arrived, and stored it away.. i go to use it yesterday and the bloomin thing is saying pod type not known :(

Have you tried to reseating all the connectors (open it up and pull it apart and test again)? Also check the code in the EPROM - might have lost a bit or two...Pretty sure I put that up on TTL FTP site.
