A number of years ago Macintosh computers ran with a lowly 68000, then some bright person figured out how to install a 68020 (or was it a 68010?). I think I still have one of those kits (must dig out tonight) but have no time... So anyone interested in a challenge? Riches and fame are not promised... Common "cheap" upgrade in Amiga land was to upgrade the 68000 to a 68010. Only mattered if applications used the (couple) '10 extensions. As I remember, 020 (and above) wasn't pin compatible, so it needed a "real" upgrade. With surface mount, this could be a real challenge...
