I just got off the phone chatting with Shy of Navatek and, as usual, he was most helpful. I asked about the Fluke 6803 adapter for the 6802 pod and he turns out to be the designer! Says he has the information around somewhere and is happy to send it along so once it arrives I will let folks know and post any schematics to Flippers FTP site (with Shy's permission granted). Shy's contact info (9100 and 9010 parts, repairs, etc. he bought up Flukes stock when they discontinued the series): shy@navatek.com Shy Meirovitch Navatek 20331 Lake Forest Dr Suite C-16 Lake Forest CA 92630 (949) 588-2121 John :-#)# -- John's Jukes Ltd. 2343 Main St., Vancouver, BC, Canada V5T 3C9 Call (604)872-5757 or Fax 872-2010 (Pinballs, Jukes, VideoGames) www.flippers.com "Old pinballers never die, they just flip out" _______________________________________________ Techtoolslist mailing list Techtoolslist@flippers.com http://seven.pairlist.net/mailman/listinfo/techtoolslist FTP site is: ftp://ftp.flippers.com/TTL/TestEquipment Archive site: http://seven.pairlist.net/pipermail/techtoolslist/

Shy has kindly sent me the schematics in JPG format (three pages), and even phoned me to explain some of the necessities for setting this up. He has no documentation left nor does he have information on the delay lines chosen - he designed this over twenty years ago and there was very little call for it...Shy also says that this is freely given by him, he is happy to share it. I created some notes and added them to the zip file that I have put up on TTL ftp site under Fluke: ftp://ftp.flippers.com/TTL/TestEquipment/Fluke/Fluke6803PodAdapterSchematic.zip Anyone want to make the PCB? Those look like Dallas parts (at least pin-out wise). Probably 100ns and 50ns? http://datasheets.maxim-ic.com/en/ds/DS1005.pdf -Clay _______________________________________________ Techtoolslist mailing list Techtoolslist@flippers.com http://seven.pairlist.net/mailman/listinfo/techtoolslist FTP site is: ftp://ftp.flippers.com/TTL/TestEquipment Archive site: http://seven.pairlist.net/pipermail/techtoolslist/

Certainly two of the devices appear to be DS1005-100, however I do not see where there is a -50 device. -60 seems to be the lowest number. Shy did say they were from Dallas, so perhaps a data book from the late 80s (or early 90s) will show if there was a -50 version. I see no reason not to use the -60 as Shy said one has to 'tune' the adapter to each application. Obviously a routine needs to be written as well (no documentation left) to set up the 6821 to mimic the 6803s output ports - part of that is the setting of the Select address for the 6821, then one has to set its registers...
