Quarter arcade 9010a rom signatures broken?
I have been working on some MCR boards and I am getting different rom signatures than what the http://tech.quarterarcade.com/tech/VM.aspx?g=1421 <http://tech.quarterarcade.com/tech/VM.aspx?g=1421&set=kick> &set=kick says. I have tried this with Kick (upright and cocktail) and Tron (all versions). Doing this against known working boards. I use the 9010 to generate signatures for rom blocks and they just don't match. Can anyone check something else and see if they get rom signatures that match? Or is there a bug in the sig generation on the page? If you pull the ROMs, dump them, and checksum, do they match the info on that page? Sounds like different ROM data or operator error on the Fluke.

Dump ROM, upload to my romident webpage, then do Sig check. On Sep 10, 2016 2:56 AM, "Ian Eure" <ieure@icloud.com> wrote:

I used freshly generated signature tests on an Exidy Ripcord earlier this week and the sigs were all correct. The sigs are based on the MAME ROM images. If there is a problem with the archive, or they are a different revision, then your results would make sense. John :-#)# On 09/09/2016 10:52 PM, David Shoemaker wrote:

Anyone know where quarter arcade gets the rom's from to run checksums? I am finding a couple of different versions but not all of them appear to be on QA. There are 3 versions of kick / kickman, and only two appear on QA. -----Original Message----- From: Techtoolslist [mailto:techtoolslist-bounces@flippers.com] On Behalf Of John Robertson Sent: Saturday, September 10, 2016 9:46 AM To: Technical Tools Mail List <techtoolslist@flippers.com> Subject: Re: [Techtoolslist] Quarter arcade 9010a rom signatures broken?
