I know this is a tech-tools list, but I'm hoping someone here can identify a chip for me. 18 pin, NMOS8342-A MS2620F-15 The "6" in the second line could be a "G" I guess, but I really think it's a 6. But it could be MS2G20F-15. I'm guessing the 8342 is the year and week code, but I can't find anything on 2620 (or 2G20). I'm guessing some type of RAM, but that's totally a guess. Also, in rotated text, to the left and perpendicular to the text above, in capital block letters is AEZ. It sure appears this is a manufacturers symbol or abbreviation, but I can't find anything on that either. Anyone have any ideas or clues? Thanks, Joe joemagiera@ameritech.net _______________________________________________ Techtoolslist mailing list Techtoolslist@flippers.com http://seven.pairlist.net/mailman/listinfo/techtoolslist

According to my IC MASTER (1986) that was made by INMOS and is a 16384X1 150nsF NMOS 18 pin Single 5VDC Dynamic RAM. Substitutes include Fujitsu MB81416, Hitachi HM48416, Mitsubishi M5M4416, and TI TMS4416.
