Hi all ... Well since my 9100A died I managed to get a 9010, alas I am doomed to be the keeper of lots of dead fluke hardware as the 9010 is completely dead! The PSU tests out OK, but I've not looked at anything else. Also I noticed it does not have the RS232 option ... if I get it working has anyone got one of these for sale? Now onto the pods ... the 6802 and 8085 pods were both shipped without the cable in the self test socket. Guess what both have a pin broken off :o( Has anyone ever replaced these ribbons/headers with a home made effort? PS I have not forgotten about those who wanted the 9100 software but I cannot currently copy it. It's being sent onto someone who can for distribution. Can anyone verify for sure what type of roms the fluke 9010a takes? I think the consensus is they use 27128's. I'm having a hard time getting the correct checksums off of any of my 3 roms, that's why I'm still wondering. It seems unlikely that they'd all be bad. I get two that read 8000 and one that reads something like C000. They are 128's and here is the ROMSUM (Thanks to Bill Ung for this program) checksums: File 128C900.U9 == 0x995C [128] File 128C901.U19 == 0x5F11 [128] File 128C902.U21 == 0x2F6C [128] John :-#)# At 09:08 AM 10/26/01, you wrote:

John, TTList, Finally have my very own 9010A & Z80 pod. I'm hoping to get a RS232 upgrade in the future but now I don't have that. I'm grateful for the scripts that John has at his FTP site. How do I go about Keying in those scripts manually (and then I assume I can make a tape backup?). Specifically I'm interested in Pac-Man (of course!). Where is the ftp site? I'd like to check some of them out. I have a little script that helps to troubleshoot space invaders sounds on the 9010a. Maybe someone can embellish it a little bit. Covered in the programming manual (www.Spies.com/arcade), it is a bit tedious to type them in each time you turn the thing on... John :-#)# At 09:19 AM 10/26/01, you wrote:

Digi-Key.com provides cables that can replace the original Fluke. Order the 40 pin DIP #C2PXG-4018G-NC, which is a 40 pin DIP-grey cable-18 inches long with an unfinished end, then get the 40 pin header #AKN40A-ND and put it on (I use a vise to squeeze the connector onto the cable). Total cost in Canadian ~ $12 plus shipping. US$ is about $8...Fluke wants $300US! John :-#)# At 08:41 AM 10/26/01, you wrote:

Well it turned out to be the 4116 RAM. I should have guessed after fixing 50+ Williams CPU's in the last 2 years. I've converted it to 4164 RAM now which should fare a little better.
It does not have the RS232 option ... if I get it working has anyone got one of these for sale?
So where do I get an RS232 board for a 9010 then? Anyone got one?
