Kev, John, and others did a lot of figuring stuff out and they helped me out a lot in the beginning. Much of what I documented and developed was based on their previous work.

(Don't worry about the GFI option. I think you'll find that you'll get pretty far with what you have and with developing scripts.)

I'm also not sure how "node locking" works. Anyone have more information about what it takes to convert a base 9100 into a programming station?

Hardware all you need is the video card and a keyboard. Software, just install the Programmers Option (version 6 and higher is no longer node locked.) You can install the programmers option without the video card installed, but you won't be able to use it. Pressing the "EDIT" button on the keyboard starts the editor, which outputs to the video display only. Copies of the V6 base install and the progammers options are on John's FTP site.

Don't forget I am working on the keyboard wedge. Parts for my prototype arrived and I am working on software now. So it would come down to the video card / software. Well, I'm short a video card and keyboard for my 9100A... So I've been using my 9010A for repairs. This program came about because the legacy DOS program just too clunky and made it too hard to organize all my scripts.

But for my 9100A, it's to the point where I was looking at what it would take to re-manufacture a short run of video cards. (I found what appeared to be the hardest to find CRT control chips, and they were NOT cheap.) The problem is that even a small run of 20 cards would be very expensive, and there is a little gap in my knowledge of what it would take to convert the base 9100A to a programming station. I would hate to drop a lot of money and find out they can't be used.
