hi all.. Most owners of these systems will probably have crapped out time/date and settings that wont save because of the timekeeper ram that is past its use-by date. (they're good for 10 years). The original is an ST M48T02-120PC1 .. i've found this to be quite pricey when looking, so i looked at the spec and wondered if i could get a cheaper type replacement to work.. and i found that the M48T12-150PC1 works in place of it just fine in the ABI... the T12's appear to be easier to source, and half the price :) Just thought i'd post my findings... I bought 4 from ebay earlier today; two for me, one for DanP and a spare for whoever realised they needed one. So I'll post it down when they turn up. tim _______________________________________________ Techtoolslist mailing list Techtoolslist@flippers.com http://seven.pairlist.net/mailman/listinfo/techtoolslist FTP site is: ftp://ftp.flippers.com/TTL/TestEquipment Archive site: http://seven.pairlist.net/pipermail/techtoolslist/

I might have a ton of those. They're older chips, but IIRC ST has sort of a fusable link that blows when power is first applied, so the Lithium cells (which have really long shelf life) shouldn't start to discharge until after they're first used. I'll do a quick look in storage for them today since I have to be over there for other stuff anyway. -Clay _______________________________________________ Techtoolslist mailing list Techtoolslist@flippers.com http://seven.pairlist.net/mailman/listinfo/techtoolslist FTP site is: ftp://ftp.flippers.com/TTL/TestEquipment Archive site: http://seven.pairlist.net/pipermail/techtoolslist/
