Actually that version isn't the one I had found. Now I don't know where I found that version of IDA (3.8), but I did find another disassembler on Simtel - XDASM which is highly rated:

If you read the docs you will find a reference to the Simtel web site, there you can download another version of IDA that WILL cover the 8bit CPUs...let me see if I can find it... ah, here it is:

Found a disassembler there, downloaded it but it is only for 8086/Z80 families.

Free one at DataRescue. Note this link moves around randomly ("Start from our home page and click on the free stuff link. The actual link is generated randomly to prevent outside linking (it kills our bandwidth)." www.datarescue.com

I'm using this to decrypt the 6800 pod ROM so I can figure out the command codes...I hope...but I really am no expert on 6800 assembly (or any assembly - more a hardware sort of guy) so if ANYONE wants to help....I've figured out a bit of it...
Interesting side note the 6800 ROM also contains the 6502 code...So you might be able to change a 6800 to a 6502, you CAN change a 6502 to be used in a 6800 application, read the 6502 pamphlet and check the schematics

Anyone point me to a good (free?) 6809 disassembler?  (I'm going to figure out this darn PIAs one way or another).

Thanks,
