OK, looks like there is definitely enough interest
for 10-20 units. My current plan is probably an
atmel AT90S2313 or pic 16C84 for brains plus a MAX232 part as
a serial driver. Should be a very small box. I need to dig out the
pinout for the fluke keyboard port and see if I am going to require an external
power source for this and the keyboard.
Oh the reason for the probability of the PIC over
the atmel is that I can build a parallel port pic programmer for next to nothing
and have two books on pics. I have nothing on the atmel parts at this
time. I am completely welcome to pointers though.
And a couple people asked what I was doing the
schems / layout in. I will be upfront, this is my first "real" project so
up to now I just have hacked my way through. So ideas there also welcomed
:)

Subject: Fluke 9100 keyboard adapter
(call for interest)
I am working on a small black box to be connected
between a PC style keyboard and the 9100 keyboard port to convert the PC scan
codes to the required serial.
What I want to know is how many people would like
one and if you would be willing to pay (at a wild guess) $20 for it. I
am betting there won't be enough demand to have PC boards made up for them so
they will be perf board assembled.
