I'm still working on this part-time. Still need replacements for defective 720 drives on the 9100. Al Kossow gave me a link of interest - and I followed it to TEAC PDF library:
http://www.teac.com/DSPD/catalog.htm and scroll down to the floppy drives. Nothing on the 720 drives though - but I've asked their tech support for help...

I have a couple of dead floppies on my 9100's and was wondering if anyone knows how to set up a 1.44 to run on them.  The Drive Select has to "0", but then nothing much happens. The latest version of the System setup disc (Rv1.4 - for SCSI) seems to support the Canon HD drive but I have no idea what drive that was supposed to be.

The drives supported (Rv1.4) are:
Canon (MD350)
Sony F17
TEAC FD235
Mitsu(mi?) MF355C
Canon HD (unknown model)

The service manual says (Pg 3-34) that the floppy control lines are:
DS0, DS1 (Drive Selects - D0 for 9100)
Spare (not used - is this the High Density enable?)
MINI (selects floppy clock speed for 5-1/4 & 3-1/2 or 8")
DENS (single or double density - but how does this fit in with a Canon HD drive?)
P0, P1 (write pre-compensation time 0, 125ns, 250ns, or 375ns)
EN-ENT (Floppy Interrupt)

Anyone have info on any of these drives and can identify the parameters needed?

Thanks!
